Ensenada Area Wineries

If you enjoy wine tasting and some great scenery, plan a day in the Wine Country of the Northern Baja. So
many people I have talked to over the years have been going to the Northern Baja for the Beaches for years
and did not know anything about the wine country. Just inland a ways south west of Tecate and north east of
Ensenada there are numerous wineries. The wine growing region of Baja California lies within the valleys of
San Vicente, Santo Tomás and Guadalupe, all located just north of Ensenada.

This is a huge tourist area and there is plenty of wine tasting, restaurants, and views as far as the eye can
see. It is a great day trip to the valleys. The scenery alone is worth the drive, but be aware it is a drive. From
the Beach Rentals it is roughly 1.5 to 2.5 hours depending on traffic and which wineries you visit. So it is an all
day trip. Obviously some are closer than others. See the map to the right. You drive north through Ensenada
then look for route 3, also known and signed as Routa del Vino.

A little closer to the Ensenada Beach House Rentals are two wineries and restaurants with wine tours in
Ensenada. This trip unlike going to the valleys is just a 30 minute drive from the Beach Houses.
