SWINE FLU WHAT SWINE FLU? (Opinion Page)
Wow, I have not seen this kind of completely poor coverage in most of my life. Remember when we were kids?
You could count on the news whether local or national getting most stories right. Lately that is most definitely
not the case. You need more than one source of information sense sensationalism is first priority and the truth
well that can wait.

Now that the press have come to their senses, there is a better chance of catching the swine flu in Southern
California than the entire 1000 miles of Baja California.

It is time all everyone should start checking the news for truth with other sources. Suffice it to say, they are
unreliable at best these days. I have yet to figure out why the US media sees all of Mexico as one. Are there
not 50 states in the US? Well there are 29 in Mexico that like the US span thousands of miles. Hello US Media!
When you report tell us which area in Mexico not just MEXICO. It is like saying there was a Tsunami in the
Eastern Hemisphere, Huh?

Come on people the sky is not falling. Wash your hands and if you get sick go see your doctor. Past that, get
on with living and live well.

The above opinion was written the week of the worst "crisis" reporting I have ever seen. The press actually
caused most of the crisis. On 07/06/09 the swine flu is pretty much behind us, yet we still get asked about it
from time to time. Apparently it has become up to each of us to be informed in different ways. You can not
count on the media to do so any longer. The media is no longer credible so you need additional sources of
information. I reccommend a google search over turning on your tv on any topic about the Baja.
Finally Worldwide Reporting of the Swine Flu has realized that they over did it!
